Summary:
The Vice President of Tran Tech will be responsible for the planning and execution of goals that fit within the Tran Tech strategic business plan.
In this role, you will be responsible for building and leading a customer-focused team that delivers exceptional results.
You will be responsible for scaling our business from a local-based operation to a regional operation.
You will be expected to provide our customers quality operations while managing the costs of a diverse transportation fleet.
Your performance will be measured by customer satisfaction levels, fleet productivity and efficiency, and overall financial health and performance.
Job Duties/
Responsibilities:
Plan and execute strategic and operational activities in conjunction with the C-Suite and President.
Collaborate with executive-level management in the develop of performance and strategic goals.
Plan and monitor the day-to-day operations of the business to ensure a smooth and consistent experience for the customer.
Determine and implement operational and cost improvements/efficiencies.
Develop relationships with key customers and carriers.
Manage and develop all assigned staff.
Plan and account for all capital expenditures required within the strategic plan.
Build and improve a support platform for all Third-Party carriers and owner operators who operate for Tran Tech.
Develop and implement a plan to scale the current business operation throughout the Midwest region.
Communicate and explain new directives, policies, and procedures to both superiors and subordinates.
Identify new revenue sources and markets; provide strategic and operational plans to enter all new markets.
Plan and coordinate with supporting departments, to include:
Maintenance, Human Resources, Recruiting, Accounting, and Information Technology.
Required Skills/Abilities:
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
Proficient with TMS software.
Planning and Project Management Skills.
Proven ability to plan and manage operational processes for maximum efficiency and productivity Entrepreneurial spirit and thought process Ability to operate independently Proven ability to scale operations (preferred scaling an automotive transportation company) Education and
Experience:
Extensive and diversified background in the Automotive Car Hauling field with at least 10 years of related experience.
Bachelor Degree (or equivalent) in business administration or related field is preferred, though not required.
Experience with managing Third Party Carriers and Owner/Operators is preferred.
